What is an abstract?
Answer
An abstract is a summary. Typically abstracts are provided for academic/scholarly journal articles.
When using the Online Library Search, you can view the abstract in different ways on the search results page:
- Conduct a search and hover your mouse over the paper/magnifying glass icon to the right of the result title.
- Click on the result title to view the Detailed Record screen which displays the abstract
- To see the abstract on your results page, follow the steps below:
3a. Under Page Options, click detailed
3b. Then you will see the abstracts (if available) on the page with the result.
