Q. Can I use Wikipedia in assignments?

You must carefully evaluate Wikipedia articles because anyone can edit Wikipedia. The articles are meant to start exploring your topic and are not the type of source to necessarily cite in your assignment.

Use Wikipedia to get an overview of a topic and check the resources at the bottom of the article for more detail. Then, you can use those resources and/or the Strayer Online Library for sources to cite in your assignments.

We recommend using the SIFT method to assess your sources.
