What is academic integrity?

What is the academic integrity policy? What does AIC mean? Is there a plagiarism policy? What is the honor code?

Answer

According to Strayer University's Academic Integrity Policy, acts of intellectual dishonesty will be considered plagiarism, (see link for full details):

  • Copying words or ideas from one or more sources without regard to whether credit is given to those sources
  • Failure to place direct quotes within quotation marks
  • Having another student or non-student take an entire course or submit any work assigned in a course

This is not an exhaustive list of violations of the Academic Integrity Policy. Plagiarism, accidental or not, violates the Academic Integrity Policy and the Code of Student Conduct.
