Is it possible to accidentally plagiarize?
Answer
According to Strayer University's Academic Integrity Policy, acts of intellectual dishonesty will be considered plagiarism, (see link for full details):
- Copying words or ideas from one or more sources without regard to whether credit is given to those sources
- Failure to place direct quotes within quotation marks
- Having another student or non-student take an entire course or submit any work assigned in a course
This is not an exhaustive list of violations of the Academic Integrity Policy. Plagiarism, accidental or not, violates the Academic Integrity Policy and the Code of Student Conduct.
