How do I cite a journal article?

Answer

You only need to include four items in each source list entry. If you are missing any of these required pieces, you would indicate that. This list is the same for all source types:

  • Name of the author or organization that created the source
  • Publication date
  • Title of the source
  • How to find the source (typically a permalink)

Here is an example source list entry for a journal article:

  1. Danielle Myles. August 4, 2014. E-money firms: the next shadow banks? https://research-ebsco-com.libdatab.strayer.edu/linkprocessor/plink?id=e77a3702-1791-335a-ad73-51934e5c3aec
