What is ethical writing?
Answer
Simply put, ethical writing means giving credit where it is due and avoiding misrepresentation.
- We give credit where it is due by integrating evidence by appropriately quoting or paraphrasing and then using in-text citations and source list entries to credit the source.
- We avoid misrepresentation by not taking quotes, images, or ideas out of context in a way that distorts the original intention.
