Where can I find an unqualified audit report?
Where can I find an auditor's report? Where are audit opinions for publicly traded companies?
Answer
Publicly traded companies in the United States are required to file 10-Ks with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). These reports are commonly known as Annual Reports and are quite long!
A few of the most well-known sections of 10-Ks include income balance, cash flow, and letters to investors from the CEO or Chairman of the Board.
Companies are legally required to have 10-Ks audited and as such, they include a copy of the auditor's report. You must read the report to determine if it is unqualified or qualified.
