Q. What's active voice?

What's passive voice? What's the difference between active and passive voice?

Answer

When writing in the active voice, the actor comes before the verb, and the subject acts on an object. When writing in the passive voice, the subject is acted upon.

In academic writing, you should use an active voice because it is strong, clear, and concise. Passive voice does not convey a strong or confident tone, so writers should avoid it whenever possible.
