How do I copy and paste the link for something I found in the Online Research Portal?

Can I access the URL for an article outside of the library database?

Where is the URL that I can save from the Basic Search?

Answer

When you find a source within the Online Research Portal, you will need a permalink for your source list entry. The permalink, or permanent link, is different from the URL at the top of your browser page. When you use a permalink in your source list entry, or at the bottom of your discussion post, that means that your professor and other Strayer University students can click on it to go directly to the library source.

View the short video below for guidance on locating permalinks in the library's Basic Search. The video will also show you how to find and copy the permalink for the results page of your search, too!
