How do I search for a case if I know the citation?

How can I find a case by citation? How can I find a law by the citation? How do I find statutory codes?

Answer

Nexis Uni offers a feature called Get a Doc Assistance. One of the options is searching cases by party name. From the Nexis Uni homepage, select "Get a Doc Assistance" under the main search bar. From that page, click "By Citation." Enter the content type (such as cases, statutory codes, or bill text) and the jurisdiction (where or at what level the case was held), and then Search.
