How do I get the captions from a YouTube Video?
Answer
YouTube allows content creators to add captions or auto-generate captions. If the creator has added captions, you can view the full transcript.
- Under the video to the right of the "Save" button, click the Menu icon (. . .).
- Select "Open transcript."
- The transcript is visible in the upper-righthand corner of the screen, to the right of the video.
You can use this transcript to follow along with the video, or you can click a transcript line to jump to that section of the video.
