Q. How do I cite a quote?
What information do I need to cite a quotation? Can I cite a famous person in SWS?
Answer
To cite a quotation, use the same order of information as any other Strayer Writing Standards citation: author, date, title, and where you found the source. If you use this Neil Armstrong quote in your writing, "That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind," then your Sources List entry could look like this:
Neil Armstrong. 2006. The Oxford Dictionary of American Quotations. https://www-oxfordreference-com.libdatab.strayer.edu/view/10.1093/acref/9780195168235.001.0001/q-author-00008-00000061
