How do I cite an IBISWorld report?

How do I make a source list entry for an IBISWorld report?

Answer

IBISWorld reports (both industry & company) are cited the same as any other source type by locating these components of the report:

Author (First name Last name or organization name). Date published. Title of the source. URL to the source

  • These elements are typically listed at the top of the report overview page.
  • If you cannot locate an individual author's name, list IBISWorld as the author.
  • If you cannot locate a date, SWS allows us to list "No author."
  • The title of the industry or company report is listed as the title in the SWS citation.
  • IBISWorld does not include a permalink feature. Instead, use the specific webpage link in the address bar at the top of the browser. This link remains consistent and is used to directly return to the resource.
