Can an AI bot be considered an information source?
Answer
No, we do not currently advise that you consider a chat bot the same as a research database. There are many types of bots and AI and there are constantly new ones under development. Some bots do have a knowledge base built in while other bots search information elsewhere.
If you find a piece of research while using a bot, we suggest you find and review the same research from a library database. That way you are confirming the research and interpretation yourself. This is just like when we find a quote or paraphrase from one author cited by another author. We recommend you find the original source to review yourself.
